Let's see how good my guessing is. Bold titles means I am correct.
Hugh Jackson and Anne Hathaway did an amazing performance. Made me laugh hardcore.
Yeah I win! She did an absolutely beautiful speech too. Almost made me cry. Arts is something we should fight to be kept alive. And her dress is amazing. Vintage ftw!
Writing (Original Screenplay) - Milk
Two for two. Definitely on my must-see list.
Writing (Adapted Screenplay) - Slumdog Millionaire
Great movie. Everyone has to see it.
Animated Feature Film - Wall-E
Another movie I really want to see but Haven't see. I know, what's wrong with me?!
Best Animated Short Film - Les Maison En Petits Cubes
Yeah totally had no idea, but after watching those clips of the shorts, I might have picked that one too. Though the clip for the movie I picked (This Way Down) made me laugh out loud. "Domo Arigato Mr Robato" LMFAO.
Art Direction - The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
A topic I know nothing about. See if they showed me these little clippy things before I guessed, my guesses would be much more educated. A good win.
Costume Design - The Duchess
Yeah! Totally, as my sister said, "Those are always the hardest. You could always look at the pictures, but you never will quite know exactly what it's like."
Make-Up - The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
The aging in this movie was done flawlessly. Brad Pitt as 16 year old boy was incredible.
Cinematography - Slumdog Millionaire
Damn. I picked The Dark Knight. Of course, haha. The Dark Knight better take home something or I am suing.
OMG that short with James Franco (LOVE!) and Seth Rogen... that was HILARIOUS.
Live Action Short - Spizeugland
Like James Franco couldn't say it (LMFAO) I can't really spell it.
I hate Highschool musical. With a passion. But I love a musical. So that performance was well done. Hugh Jackman is a great singer! And I have to admit, yeah Beyonce is too...
Actor in Supporting Role - Heath Ledger
FUCK YEAH! If he didn't win it, I would seriously jump out a window. I miss him.
Rest in peace, Heath <3
Documentary Feature - Man on Wire
Thank you Rob!
Best Documentary Short - Smile Pinki
WRONG!
Visual Effects - The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Yeah, I saw that coming. *Golf clap*
Sound Editing - The Dark Knight
TOLD YOU! that chase scene totally sold it. DONE!
Sound Mixing - Slumdog Millionaire
I don't know what sound mixing is.
Film Editing - Slumdog Millionaire
So amazing movie.
"I shall pass through this world but once.
Any good thing therefore that I can do or any kindness
I can show to any human being let me do it now.
Let me not defer it or neglect it
for I shall not pass this way again"
"A movie without music, is like an airplane without fuel. Your music made this picture soar."
Audrey I love you <3
Best Original Score - Slumdog Millionaire
Beautiful score. I didn't realize how wonderful it was until I heard it again. Defiance also had a gorgeous one. I love the live orchestra... I love how you can see them. Urg so wonderful. My picks were weak. I need to do more research next time.
Best Original Song - Jai Ho
Whoo! Totally not expecting a live performance. This Oscars has been fabulous. Shit I kind of liked the other song from Slumdog Millionaire than the one I picked. Well can't change it. I know it's really weird, I love the Bollywood ladies singing, I don't know why, haha. Let's see who wins... ah see, I'm good once I know what the actual songs are =p
Best Foreign Language Film - Departures
Yeah I'm failing now >.>
Best Director - Slumdog Millionaire
Very well deserved.
Best Leading Female - Kate Winslet
The second last woman giving her little speech (before Nicole Kidman) was terrifying. Her face was like... botox'ed held together. Kate must have done an amazing job in this movie as she was taking home Golden Globes also. I should check it out.
Best Leading Male - Sean Penn
A great choice. Honestly, it would be hard to choose. But a great choice.
Best Picture - Slumdog Millionaire
This is the big one. FUCK YEAH! DONE AND DONE.
